Dr. Asadullah Yate
Dr. Asadullah Yate (Cantab.) has translated works from Arabic, Persian, German and French, and, in collaboration with others, from Turkish. Among his translations are: al-Qawānīn al-fiqhiyyah of Ibn Juzayy al-Kalbī; Islam in the School of Madina by Aḥmad ibn Bashīr al-Qalāwī ash-Shinqīṭī; and The Secret Garden of ash-Shābistārī. His own authorship includes: Ibn Rushd – Mujtahid of Europe; and Fair Trading, a manual of trade, buying and selling based on the Bidāyat al-mujtahid of Ibn Rushd. He teaches Arabic and Fiqh, and is Imam al-Khaṭīb at the mosque of Stralsund, Germany.
