New Titles
In addition to classical works, Diwan Press will begin its career with two contemporary texts of very different character:
The African Caliphate, the Life, Works and Teaching of Shaykh Uthman dan Fodio (1754 - 1817)
by Ibraheem Sulaiman.
This scholarly work focuses on the establishment in 1809, in what is today Northern Nigeria, of the celebrated Sokoto caliphate, which may well have been the last complete re-establishment, anywhere in the world, of Islam in its entirety, comprising all its many and varied dimensions.

Banking, the root cause of the injustices of our time.
The original 1987 Norwich conference Usury: root cause of the injustices of our time whose proceedings form the core of this work, had an extraordinary effect. This book contains the texts of the original lectures as well as some contemporary material that updates it. It is unnervingly prescient with respect to today’s economic situation and should attract a great deal of attention.
