Books
Diwan Press has been relaunched with the very considerable back catalogue of the original Diwan Press titles as well as two new titles.
We will concentrate on the following topics:
Classical texts. In a category of its own is the translation by husband and wife Abdalhaqq and Aisha Bewley of the Noble Qur’an: a new rendering of its meanings in English. Then after that we would have to mention Qadi ‘Iyad's universally acknowledged Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, the translation of his ash-Shifa.
The Islam of the School of Madinah. It was transmitted by Imam Malik ibn Anas and its works include classical works such as his Muwatta’ as well as the two manuals: The Foundations of Islam and the Handbook of Islam, Iman, Ihsan.
Sufism. Foremost in this category is the masterpiece of Shaykh Dr. Abdalqadir as-Sufi The Way of Muhammad, with another extraordinary work The Hundred Steps. Then there are the works of the masters such as The Darqawi Way, a translation of the letters of Shaykh Mawlay al-Arabi ad-Darqawi to his students and to other figures of his time, such as Shaykh Ahmad ibn ‘Ajiba whose Basic Research is also published by Diwan Press, and his shaykh's masterwork The Meaning of Man.
